Professional profile
The Advanced Technicians in composite materials and 3D printing is a highly qualified professional who operates in the phases of design, production and industrialization of products built in carbon-fiber composite materials with 3D printing technologies.
S/he can use CAD modelling and simulation software for design. The technician knows the production technologies in mechanical processing and in new materials (carbon-fiber composite materials; metals, polymers and resins for additive manufacturing).
S/he can apply quality control and testing technologies on components and operate in the research and development area. This role also involves production planning skills for the optimization of company production processes

Lab teaching
LEARNING BY DOING
The program includes theoretical lessons in the classroom and practical in the company, as well as labs, project working, business simulation, meetings with entrepreneurs and visits in the companies.
REFRESHER COURSES
The program is introduced by induction refresher courses in Mechanics, Electrotechnology/Electronics and English, which are based on the assessment level of admitted participants.
INTERNSHIPS
More than 40% of post-diploma course time is devoted to educational internships in the most important companies of the mechanic, mechatronic, motor and automation sectors in Emilia-Romagna.
Covid and teaching
ITS MAKER promptly adopted not only all necessary procedures for distance teaching, but also new solutions for lab practice, while also providing technical support for students who may be having difficulties with online classes.
