Bring four-wheeled legends back to life. Become a Higher Technician in Historic Vehicle Restoration and Special Vehicle Production and learn how to restore mechanical components, bodywork and interiors.

This new post-diploma technical course trains you in restoration, customization and digital technologies such as 3D printing and 3D scanning. In the heart of the Motor Valley, with its craft businesses and specialized workshops, you will develop rare and highly demanded skills through extensive in-company internships.

Professional profile

The Higher Technician in Historic Vehicle Restoration and Special Vehicle Production, with an overall view of the vehicle and its different components, has all the skills needed to work both on mechanical systems and on internal and external surfaces. They carry out enhancement, refurbishment and restoration of historic vehicles, as well as the production of special or handcrafted vehicles and the customization of mass-produced vehicles, in line with good engineering practice and sector regulations.
Their skills include in-depth knowledge of all vehicle systems, spare parts and renewal and replacement techniques, including digital acquisition (3D scanning), 3D printing with traditional and innovative materials, and rapid prototyping using CAD tools. They are able to use diagnostic equipment, including digital systems dedicated to sustainability and emissions control, and they know sector regulations concerning certifications and type approvals.

The course also supports the development of skills that help companies activate and consolidate green transition processes, promoting technologies and equipment that reduce raw material, material and energy consumption and cut emissions, in line with a more sustainable economic development model.
