From ceramics to packaging, every product is made thanks to complex and automated systems.
This ITS MAKER Academy course trains you to become an Advanced Technician in Advanced Industrial Automation Systems – Ceramics & Packaging, a highly sought-after professional across the entire manufacturing sector.
You will learn how to design, assemble, test and install automatic machines, gaining skills that are also valuable in maintenance and project management. It’s a comprehensive technical program for working in the most advanced companies of the ceramic district and beyond.
The Industrial Automation course is developed in partnership with Adecco Italia, part of The Adecco Group, offering students the opportunity to access a Higher Education Apprenticeship program.

Professional profile
The Advanced Technician in Advanced Industrial Automation Systems – Ceramics & Packaging has the skills to work as a technical office designer/drafter, mechanical/electrical assembly technician, PLC programmer, installation technician (including field service), or testing and quality control technician for automated systems. Starting from a comprehensive understanding of ceramic production processes and related technologies, they acquire the professional and transversal skills needed to work in one or more stages of the production or product/process industrialization cycle of machines and plants, project development and maintenance activities. They can work in:
- Production control activities
- Production planning and process/quality control departments
- Technical maintenance activities
- Assembly, construction, testing, installation and maintenance at client sites

The Advanced Technician in Advanced Industrial Automation Systems – Ceramics & Packaging, specialized in ceramic industry technologies but with skills applicable to automation and packaging in other sectors, can primarily work within companies that manufacture machines and plants for ceramic production or other industries.
