More than 40% of the total hours of ITS MAKER Academy courses is dedicated to educational internships carried out in leading mechanical, mechatronics, engine and automation companies in Emilia-Romagna.
ITS MAKER Academy, a bridge to the world of work
Direct contact with the world of work takes shape through two internship periods, which are an integral part of our courses and can be carried out either within the same company or in different companies.
The ITS MAKER Academy staff is responsible for matching participants’ profiles with the companies that collaborate with the Foundation, taking into account their performance, attitudes and future career ambitions. This creates a mutual exchange on possible on-the-job experiences and future employment opportunities.
The internship periods are a crucial stage in every student’s path. They are the moment when students can challenge themselves, expand their on-the-job knowledge and build confidence in their skills, also through direct comparison with the experiences of their classmates.
Moreover, especially the final internship in the second year represents a real gateway to the world of work.
From the company’s point of view, the educational internship is a valuable opportunity to get to know a potential future employee and to train a young talent in the company’s specific field.
