The meeting

ITS MAKER Academy, together with other Foundations, contributes to enhancing, supporting and promoting the development of professional education in response to the training needs of local areas.

The first meeting of the Mechatronics ITS Network was held in Udine, at MITS – ITS Malignani. The network brings together all ITS Foundations operating in the mechatronics sector. Established in 2015, it now includes 13 ITS Foundations within the “Made in Italy – Mechanical System” technological area. Guido Torrielli, President of the ITS Italy Association, attended the event, which also included a tour of the new MITS laboratories.

The meeting provided an opportunity to focus on the specific features of ITS training in the mechanical and mechatronics fields, recognizing the crucial cross-sector role that mechatronics plays in today’s national production system.

The main goal was to share best practices and organizational and teaching models, and to reflect on guidance strategies and on how to valorize the know-how of companies — know-how that represents an essential resource for both classroom learning and on-the-job training through internships.
