ITS MAKER Academy – Higher Technical Institute for Mechanics, Mechatronics, Automotive and Packaging – is one of the largest ITS Foundations in Italy.
What are ITS?
ITS are “technology schools” created by the Ministry of Education in 2008 with the aim of offering highly professional training programs for high school graduates.
ITS MAKER Academy was founded by companies, local authorities, schools and universities in the heart of Emilia-Romagna’s mechanical and mechatronics technology cluster. Expertise, constant updating of teaching content, focus on students’ personal and professional growth, and continuous interaction with the business world are the values that guide our work.
Our post-diploma courses are completely free of charge, except for a €200 registration fee. They last two years and are designed to meet the needs of both young people and companies in the region.

Objectives
The ITS MAKER Academy Foundation aims to:
- Promote the dissemination of technical and scientific culture
- Support economic development and active labor market policies
Our primary objective is to train highly specialized professionals able to meet the demand for skills in strategic sectors of the economy.
ITS MAKER Academy is based in Bologna, but offers courses in almost all the provinces of Emilia-Romagna.

Governance
President
The President is Ormes Corradini, entrepreneur and CEO of SCE Srl.
He holds legal representation of the Foundation and chairs the Foundation Board, the Executive Committee and the Members’ Assembly.
He is also currently President of “Scuola Politecnica ITS Emilia-Romagna”, the association that brings together all ITS Foundations in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Regional network
ITS Foundations in Emilia-Romagna are organized as part of a regional system.
The seven ITS Foundations in the region are members of “Scuola Politecnica ITS Emilia-Romagna”, chaired by Ormes Corradini (ITS MAKER Academy).

ITS MAKER Academy is a member of ITS Italy, an association founded in 2018 to promote the growth of ITS Academies and support the training of specialized personnel for companies.
National network of Italian mechatronics ITS
ITS MAKER Academy is part of the National Network of Higher Technical Institutes for the mechanical and mechatronics sectors.
The network brings together 12 ITS Foundations across Italy that operate in these sectors, sharing experiences and projects and collaborating to constantly improve teaching methods and ITS programs.
